Job Summary

As a Nursing Assistant with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting. This is a full-time opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Assist with basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and providing psychosocial support.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
