Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Travel Position

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team as a Travel CNA. This opportunity allows a CNA to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is committed to providing high-quality care and service to our residents. As a Travel CNA, you will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, and provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assist with food preparation and dining, creating a positive dining experience for residents.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
  • Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
