Asphalt Laborer

**Job Summary**

Concrete Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Asphalt Laborer to join our team. As an Asphalt Laborer, you will assist our construction crews with the general construction of roads, heavy highway, bridges, and parking lots.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Assist work crews with asphalt paving in construction and maintenance activities, including quality control.
• Abide by company safety program and policies, while performing duties safely.
• Meet the obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
• Adhere to safety standards established by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements:**

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools, edging tools, power grinders, edging saws, and shovels.
• Ability to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule.
• Ability to safely maneuver a truck over varied terrain.

**Work Environment:**

This is a physically demanding job that requires the employee to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee must be able to pull or lift heavy boxes ranging from 50 to 75 pounds to waist height. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to hot and cold weather conditions.
