We are currently seeking a dedicated Heavy Equipment Transport Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the safe and efficient transportation of heavy machinery using a lowboy truck and trailer. A hiring bonus of $2,500 is available for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the company's safety protocols while executing all driving duties.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in hauling oversized loads.
  • Manage the loading and securement of heavy equipment onto the lowboy, ensuring proper binding and safety measures are in place.
  • Navigate to various job sites while complying with commercial driving regulations.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the truck before and after trips, documenting any issues.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Check and maintain truck equipment and supplies, performing emergency repairs as necessary.
  • Safely unload heavy equipment upon arrival at job sites.
  • Consistently uphold safety standards and policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience operating large trucks is essential.
  • Familiarity with industry safety regulations is required.
  • Ability to adapt to seasonal and project demands.

Working Conditions

This position involves physical labor, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy materials. Candidates must be able to work in various weather conditions and be prepared for a loud work environment.
