Asphalt Laborer

Constructors Inc., a leading heavy highway paving and asphalt paving company, is seeking a highly motivated Asphalt General Laborer to join their team. As a key member of the construction crew, this individual will assist in the general construction of roads, heavy highway, bridges, and parking lots.

• Assist work crews with asphalt paving in construction and maintenance activities, including quality control.
• Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
• Meet the obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
• Adhere to safety standards established by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current valid drivers license with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools, edging tools, power grinders, edging saws, and shovels.
• Ability to work according to seasonal and order demand schedule.
• Ability to safely maneuver a truck over varied terrain.

This is a physically demanding job that requires the employee to stand, walk, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee must be able to pull or lift heavy boxes ranging from 50 to 75 pounds to waist height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
