At Hallmark Youthcare Richmond Inc, we're seeking a skilled Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team of dedicated clinicians. As a leading Residential Treatment Center in the Greater Richmond area, we provide innovative care for adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues triggered by trauma.

Our treatment approach emphasizes a warm and friendly environment, where our well-trained and highly motivated staff deliver quality care with compassion and expertise.

We're currently looking for a CTRS with a strong desire to work collaboratively with our team to create a safe and engaging space for our residents to heal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement well-rounded programs for coping with frustration, stress, anger, and loss.
  • Perform therapeutic recreation assessments, teach appropriate use of leisure time, and improve social interaction skills.
  • Document progress in the medical record and communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in resident care.

Requirements:

  • BS in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited school.
  • Previous clinical experience (preferred).
  • One year experience in therapeutic recreation with adolescents.
  • Nationally Certified (or eligible) as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
  • Valid Virginia Driver's License in good standing (preferred).
