Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Hanover Foods Corporation. As a key member of our warehouse staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of frozen inventory throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse Operations: Perform routine warehouse duties, including cycle counts, location changes, and housekeeping functions, as directed by the Freezer Warehouse Supervisor or Leadperson.
  • Inventory Management: Check and confirm the accuracy of merchandise being received with bill of lading, and ensure that the loading and unloading of trailers is done properly to avoid damage.
  • Forklift Operations: Drive a stand-up forklift to transport cases from the warehouse dock for subsequent trailer loading, and operate a stand-up lift truck to transfer loaded pallets to and from the Frozen Storage area, production lines, railcars, and trucks.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and company policies, and report any mechanical or safety problems to the Supervisor or Lead immediately.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and adhere to the Company's plant hygiene regulations to ensure high product integrity.
Requirements
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations and record data onto a spreadsheet.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and prior experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
