About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NICU Nurse to join our team at The George Washington University Hospital. As a NICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage the patient's condition, including vital signs, laboratory results, and medication administration.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current state nursing license.
  • ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment).
  • BLS.
  • One year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care setting.
