Job Title: Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Conway Behavioral Health Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment to patients with a variety of mental health issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team.
  • Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plans.
  • Assess physical and psychiatric health of patients and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
  • Chart clinical observations, evaluations, and treatment of patients in required time according to facility guidelines.
  • Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patients within appropriate guidelines.
  • Encourage family involvement in patient care and respond to identified patient and family educational needs.
  • Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy and procedures, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
Qualifications:
  • Master's in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner program required.
  • Clinical experience working with the patient population of the facility; ability to demonstrate knowledge of concepts of limit setting, therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, therapeutic treatment, environment, and patient care required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Practicing Nurse Practitioner preferred.
  • Experience working with Child & Adolescent patients preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner required, Licensed to practice in the state in which the facility operates, DEA license.
