Overview

Pro2Serve, a nationally-recognized technical and engineering services firm, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join our team in Knoxville, TN. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping systems, for government and private clients.

Job Summary

This direct hire position requires a highly skilled mechanical engineer with expertise in HVAC and piping system design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD software, including Microstation and AutoCAD MEP, and experience with industry software such as Trane Trace and HAP. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC and piping systems, for government and private clients.
  • Perform hands-on CAD work using Microstation and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Develop process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and sequences of operations.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including fire protection, architectural, structural, and electrical teams, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in HVAC and piping system design.
  • Strong knowledge of codes and standards, including ICC, ASHRAE, ASME, IBC, and NFPA.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including Microstation and AutoCAD MEP.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Salary and Location

The estimated salary range for this position is $ $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience. This position is based in Knoxville, TN, with potential opportunities for remote work.
