Bardstown Motor Lodge is seeking a dedicated Textile Care Specialist
Role Summary:
We are in search of a meticulous textile care specialist to assist in the operational needs of our establishment. The primary responsibilities of this role include laundering, pressing, and organizing garments and various fabric items. Additionally, maintaining accurate records of items belonging to guests is essential. To excel in this position, you should exhibit strong organizational abilities and interpersonal skills. Ideal candidates will engage with guests to discuss additional laundering services that may enhance their experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding garments and other fabric items.
- Removing stains using appropriate techniques.
- Carrying out minor sewing tasks.
- Maintaining accurate records of guest items.
- Keeping an updated inventory of laundry supplies and sewing materials.
- Monitoring maintenance and repairs of laundry equipment.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the facility at all times.
- Responding to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Maintaining sufficient change for laundry machines, if necessary.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar position is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cleaning agents and laundry machinery.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds independently.
- Basic math skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Friendly demeanor with a talent for customer service.
- Availability for shifts and weekends.
