Job Summary

The Clinical Professional Development Educator plays a vital role in enhancing professional practice and quality patient care at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. This position is responsible for providing evidence-based educational programs and activities that promote professional competency for nursing and inter-professional staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and healthcare personnel.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
  • Design and implement educational activities to address practice gaps for identified target audiences.
  • Promote and integrate evidence-based practice to continuously improve patient care.
  • Conduct research, quality improvement, and education initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical education preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice or an active compact state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
