We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Donor Center Technician to join our team at KEDPlasma USA. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plasma donation center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to donors, responding to their questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct health screenings, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature checks, to ensure donor safety.
- Prepare collection machines for plasmapheresis procedures, including donor setup, monitoring, and disconnect.
- Monitor donor safety and well-being during the plasmapheresis process, responding to any adverse reactions or issues that may arise.
- Facilitate donor flow throughout the center, minimizing wait times and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- Perform troubleshooting of equipment within scope of training, responding to complex alarm or donor issues related to collection.
- Maintain a clean, efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies are available as needed.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory policies and procedures, remaining current on SOP changes.
- Attend staff meetings and other team meetings as required, providing input and feedback to improve center operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one-year experience in a customer service environment, with experience in a medical office, retail, blood, or plasma collection center preferred.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable being near human blood and exposed to bloodborne pathogens, with ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
