Job Title: High School ELA Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School ELA Teacher to join our team at Lad Lake Inc. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts to high school students, with a focus on creating engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and provide individualized support to students who require extra attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English Language Arts lessons to high school students, incorporating a range of teaching methods and materials.
  • Assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to support student growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, ensuring alignment with state and national standards.
  • Provide individualized support to students who require extra attention, including those with special needs or English language learners.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Education or a related field.
  • Wisconsin teaching certification, with a focus on English Language Arts.
  • Previous experience working with high school students, particularly those with emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
