Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Source Code. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing complex cardiac ultrasound examinations and assisting physicians with invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment.
  • Objectively identify the presence or absence of disease, utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Assist physicians with invasive echocardiography examinations, including transesophageal echocardiography, transcatheter echoguided procedures, pericardiocentesis, and echoguided myocardial biopsies.
  • Modify procedures to meet special circumstances and provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis.

Requirements

  • Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer certification
  • Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Upon hire: National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Upon hire: National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • One year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations or a minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
  • Pediatric echocardiography experience
  • Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
  • Experience with echoguided transcatheter procedures
