Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiographic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Adventist Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound technical duties to image the heart and its functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiography procedures to assess heart functions and diagnose cardiac conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists to evaluate findings and report results.
  • Prepare patients for sonographic imaging, including positioning, applying electrodes, and documenting cardiac data.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory, restock supplies, and review patient schedules.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest diagnostic imaging techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • 1 year of experience working in an adult cardiac setting.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from ARDMS or CCI.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Oregon Board Sonographer license (OR-SNG).
Essential Functions:
  • Set up and operate ultrasound equipment, attach electrodes, and document cardiac data.
  • Interview patients, review medical records, and adapt sonographic techniques.
  • Provide patient care, including preparing patients for imaging and providing instructions.
  • Maintain job knowledge up-to-date through educational opportunities and professional development.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and maintain a safe working environment.
