Core Equipment Engineering Specialist

Contract Type: Contract
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Salary: $50.00 Per Hour

Duration: 12 Months ++

Position Overview:
As a Core Equipment Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating Capacity Creation Requests (CCR) from various planning teams and generating Telephone Equipment Orders (TEO) for the Engineering, Furnishing, and Installation of Central Office Equipment. Your role will encompass a variety of critical tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Assessing CCRs to determine the scope and nature of the work required.
  • Issuing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to vendors for necessary engineering and installation services.
  • Reviewing and accurately ordering essential materials to meet the CCR requirements.
  • Monitoring, managing, and closing financial projects as needed.
  • Collaborating closely with Field Engineers, Network Installation teams, Purchasing departments, and vendors to ensure all equipment is ordered correctly and job specifications are fulfilled.
  • Overseeing TEOs to address invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Evaluating and processing Change Orders as necessary.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment.
  • Experience as a COE Center Engineer.
  • Proficiency in material ordering and tracking processes.
