Position Overview:

The Electromechanical Assembly and Testing Specialist is tasked with assembling and testing electromechanical products for Power and Actuation Systems, specifically in brushless DC motor applications.

This role involves conducting and assisting in the assembly and testing of production hardware and their subassemblies, adhering to mechanical drawings, work instructions, routings, and other specifications.

The Specialist will engage in soldering, winding, bonding, crimping, and assembly, ensuring proper identification of hardware prior to Final Inspection.

Responsibilities include documenting work completed for the document package in line with Marotta's processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to conduct functional tests
  • Ability to interpret and work with blueprint drawings
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interaction with all organizational levels
  • Proficient in computer usage, including MS Office and basic PC skills
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute work as directed, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Primary responsibility is to verify that products perform their intended functions satisfactorily
  • Read and interpret documents (procedures, schematics, technical drawings) and utilize necessary measuring devices to confirm tooling geometries and dimensions
  • Perform soldering, crimping, and assembly of critical electronic systems
  • Operate in accordance with Company ESD (electrostatic discharge) policies
  • Set up and operate tools required for assembly, including standard hand tools and measuring equipment
  • Assist with the maintenance and/or repair of testing equipment
  • Conduct function testing, troubleshoot, rework, and document results accurately
  • Maintain accurate parts documentation for each job
  • Identify causes for test failures and perform rework with minimal supervision
  • Participate in corrective action resolution and support Lean initiatives
  • Package hardware according to ESD procedures
  • Maintain tools in clean working condition and notify supervisors of any equipment needing repair
  • Handle and dispose of chemicals safely, utilizing proper PPE as required
Work Environment:

This position frequently involves exposure to conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including fluids, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise, and vibration.

Standard office equipment such as computers and phones will be used, along with necessary protective equipment as required.

Temperature may vary due to external factors and manufacturing processes. This is a full-time role, with potential overtime and weekend work as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Regular communication is required, along with frequent reaching, handling, and the ability to see clearly at various distances.

Physical activity includes standing, walking, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 45 pounds.

Travel may be necessary for training purposes during the initial employment period.
