Job Summary

The CNC Machinist is a skilled professional responsible for performing precision machining operations to produce high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical controlled (CNC) machines. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program and operate CNC machines to produce complex parts and components
  • Set up and maintain machine tools, including fixtures and attachments
  • Inspect products to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with CNC machines
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on CNC equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient production processes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-year technical college degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' related machine tool trade experience
  • Experience with horizontal milling machines
  • Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools
  • Understanding of blueprints and routers
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
