Responsibilities:- Deliver patient care by incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and the healthcare team.
- BSN degree
- Relevant clinical competence in pediatric oncology
- Ability to maintain interpersonal relationships, communicate effectively, and work efficiently to solve problems
- Ability to work in a team, demonstrating effective communication and critical thinking
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English in a clear and concise manner
- Visual, physical, auditory, and cognitive ability to assess patient status
- Physical and mental health necessary to care for acutely ill patients
- Ability to use basic data entry, retrieval systems, and the electronic medical record documentation system
- APHON or CPON certification
- BLS and ACLS certification
