We are seeking a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with malignant neurological tumors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical neuro-oncology research and prior experience in oncology. They will be responsible for coordinating clinical research, providing complex care management and coordination to neuro-oncology and solid tumor patients, and general oncology and neuro-oncology coverage in an ambulatory clinic.

The Family Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the attending physician, consulting physician, and other disciplines to identify, develop, and implement an appropriate plan of care that maximizes individual patient/family preference and enhances quality, access, and cost-effective outcomes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with malignant neurological tumors
  • Coordinating clinical research
  • Providing complex care management and coordination to neuro-oncology and solid tumor patients
  • General oncology and neuro-oncology coverage in an ambulatory clinic
  • Working collaboratively with the attending physician, consulting physician, and other disciplines to identify, develop, and implement an appropriate plan of care

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Nursing, current registration as a Professional Nurse in New York, and registration as a Nurse Practitioner in New York. They will also have certification as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical area of practice and BLS or ACLS, PALS, NRP, or NALS per delineation of privileges.
