Your Role:

In this capacity, you will apply your consulting acumen and experience to create, develop, and advise on a diverse array of internal and external communication materials and media that facilitate the execution of a thorough public affairs initiative for the client.

As a Communications Specialist, you will devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges. Your ability to work independently while fostering collaboration will be essential in building and maintaining relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients. You will be responsible for guiding the organization in all facets of verbal and written communications, overseeing the creation of press releases and media programs, and addressing information requests from the media, specialized groups, or the public.

Your creative approach and business-oriented perspective will empower your client to effectively communicate with key audiences through various mediums, including verbal, written, social, and visual communications concepts, principles, policies, practices, methods, applications, techniques, standards, and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Department of Defense Public Affairs Specialist
  • Expertise in verbal, written, social, and visual communications methodologies
  • Proficient in crafting, editing, and preparing press releases and media programs, ensuring compliance with command and government standards
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; readiness to undergo a polygraph examination
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Strong communication skills

Security Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.

Salary at Booz Allen is influenced by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The anticipated compensation range for this role is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 annually. This range represents the typical salary for this position and is part of Booz Allen's comprehensive compensation package.

Work Environment:

Our people-first culture emphasizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remotely. If this position is designated as remote or hybrid, you will occasionally work from a Booz Allen or client site facility. If it is listed as onsite, you will engage with colleagues and clients in person as required for the specific role.
