Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Senior Public Affairs Specialist to contribute to a critical program focused on national security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a thorough public affairs strategy for the Cyber National Mission Force.
  • Facilitate communication with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring they remain well-informed.
  • Independently generate and disseminate information to media outlets, specialized groups, and government representatives.
  • Exhibit proficiency in diverse communication strategies, methodologies, and current trends.
  • Ensure coherent messaging across all departments within the CNMF.
  • Perform additional public affairs duties as required to align with the Command Team's cyber mission objectives.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a Department of Defense Public Affairs role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication capabilities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Cyber Mission operations and their broader implications.
  • Previous experience in public affairs supporting high-level command structures.
  • Experience in dynamic environments assisting senior leadership.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and take proactive measures.
  • Highly organized with flexibility in managing tasks.

Compensation Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and qualifications.
