Job Summary

The University of California seeks a highly skilled Imaging Services Supervisor to oversee the operations of our radiology services. This key role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services, while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise licensed technologists providing diagnostic and patient care services, ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards.
  • Operations Management: Monitor staff utilization and productivity, review test results to ensure appropriate application of equipment and imaging systems.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, recommending improvements to departmental procedures and policies to provide patients with the highest quality services.
  • Training and Development: Train radiology technologists on new techniques, systems, operations, and regulations, mentoring staff in meeting professional goals and developing growth areas.
  • Performance Management: Evaluate performance and competency, defining development goals and recommending changes in staffing and budget to ensure the efficient operation of Radiology.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, or related area plus five (5+) or more years of relevant experience/training.
  • Licensure and Certification: Licensed technologist in a radiology modality, with experience with subject matter knowledge of a radiology modality, and ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • California Radiology Technologist- Fluoroscopy (CRT-F)
  • Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT))
  • Three years lead role and/or supervisory experience
  • Venipuncture certification
