Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold a high standard of client satisfaction and quality by ensuring timely and proactive communication with customers.
  • Comply with policies, underwriting standards, compliance regulations, and loan procedures. Collaborate with fulfillment partners to address client needs throughout the loan origination process.
  • Continuously engage in Wells Fargo training programs to enhance knowledge of company products, policies, procedures, and underwriting standards.
  • Stay updated on mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market, and cultivate a strong presence for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.
  • This SAFE position involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or processing applications for secured transactions. Therefore, compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is required. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements, including satisfactory background investigation results. Individuals in a SAFE role must also meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) as outlined in the job expectations below.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mortgage Retail Sales, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in retail residential mortgage with purchase fundings referred primarily from established local or external sources within the past year.
  • Experience in educating clients about various mortgage programs.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Background in the mortgage industry.
  • Understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
  • Customer service experience.
Job Expectations:
  • This position requires SAFE registration upon employment. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the MU4R questions and registration required for this position. Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) roles must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification standards and comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification standards include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background criteria. A current credit report will be utilized to evaluate your financial responsibility and credit fitness; however, a credit score is not part of this evaluation. Successful candidates must also adhere to ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
