About the Job

Penske Logistics is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team in a warehouse environment. As an assembler, you will play a crucial role in splicing different gauges of wires, adding male and female connectors, and using various hand tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use of hand tools and power tools, including solder irons, clippers, screwdrivers, and pliers
  • Splicing connectors with various types, including male, female, and triple tap
  • Compliance with all safety requirements
  • Packaging or kitting finished products for shipping
  • Electronically scanning products using a warehouse management system
  • Ensuring damaged products are identified and removed when received
  • Attaching identifying tags to containers or marking them with identifying information
  • Reading work orders or receiving oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
  • Assembling customer orders from stock and placing orders on pallets or shelves, or conveying orders to the packing station or shipping department
  • Weighing or counting items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Using a computer to enter records
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work area
  • Stacking cardboard boxes and pallets
Requirements
  • Experience in assembly of wires and cables is preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing/assembly is strongly preferred but not required
  • Knowledge in electrical components and wiring diagrams is strongly preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions are required
  • Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers, and time management skills are required
  • Flexible to work overtime is preferred
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions is required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
