Job Overview

We're seeking experienced nurses with a strong background in Med-Surg, Intensive Care, and Emergency Department settings to join our team at Emory Healthcare. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice to personalize patient care
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and families
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Recognize the impact of nursing care on patient outcomes
  • Document the nursing process accurately and efficiently
  • Plan and implement patient care independently
  • Evaluate patient response to care and adjust plan as needed
  • Incorporate AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice
  • Manage time effectively and delegate tasks as needed
  • Orient staff or students as assigned
  • Utilize resources responsibly and focus on cost containment
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 12 months of recent nursing experience
  • Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association (ACLS certification required for Critical Care/ICU and Emergency Department)
Physical and Environmental Demands

The physical demands of this role include lifting up to 75 pounds, carrying objects up to 35 pounds, and occasional standing and walking. Environmental exposures may include blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, and communicable diseases.
