Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Apprentice/SNAP Program candidate to join our team at St. Luke's Health System.

This employment experience will provide you with the opportunity to expand your nursing knowledge and critical thinking skills while working in direct patient care alongside experienced nursing professionals.

The St. Luke's Nurse Apprenticeship Program (SNAP) is designed to provide a supportive, positive acute care experience for students to apply critical thinking and nursing knowledge while functioning in the role of a nurse apprentice.

Salary and Benefits

Job Description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments, gaining valuable experience and skills in patient care, communication, and teamwork.

You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, participating in education and training programs, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A completed junior year of a four-year accredited baccalaureate program in nursing or completion of the 1st year of an accredited ADN College.
  • A Letter from the Idaho State Board of Nursing verifying qualifications to function as a Nurse Apprentice.
  • A Current AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers certificate.
Career Advancement Opportunities

Once you complete your first year as a SNAP, you will be eligible to apply for our STAR Residency Training Program.

This program will provide you with additional training and support to help you transition from a student nurse to successfully taking on a full patient load.
