About the Role

Vantage Specialty Chemicals is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic A (Electrical and Mechanical) to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance and engineering groups, you will be responsible for completing preventative and corrective work orders, site safety improvements, equipment installations, facility repairs, and assisting in storeroom tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out the Company's Maintenance Program: Provide support and maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Fabricate, Install, Diagnose, and Repair Electro-Mechanical Equipment: Read and understand engineered drawings, sketches, schematics, and layouts.
  • Operate and Diagnose Equipment: Including AC Motors, DC Motors, Electrical Wiring up to 480V, Pumps, Valves, Gearboxes, Refrigeration Compressors, Cooling Towers, Evaporators, Air Compressors, Boilers, Mobile Equipment, and Hydraulic & Pneumatic equipment.
  • Maintain Equipment, Parts, and Supplies Inventories: Check stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree in Maintenance or related skills trades highly desirable.
  • Experience: At least 3-years of recent experience in a preventative maintenance and semi-automated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Talents: Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs with limited supervision. Hands-on electro-mechanical & repair knowledge. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to write and verbally communicate effectively.
