Food Preparation Specialist

Culinary excellence is at the heart of every dining experience at iCompete Experience. As a Food Preparation Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and direct the preparation of food to be served, adhering to established sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.
- Determine the amount and type of food and supplies required, ensuring availability in adequate time for preparation.
- Ensure proper serving of food for dining room and banquet events, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, observing proper food preparation and handling techniques.
- Store food properly and safely, marking dates and items for easy identification.
- Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders, portioning food for serving.
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, ensuring excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food.
- Maintain daily production records and keep work areas neat and clean at all times.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in related food service positions is required.
- Moderate reading and writing skills, with the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Promotes positive public relations with guests.
- Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills, with the ability to cooperate and work together with all co-workers.
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.
- Manual dexterity, auditory, and visual skills.
