Job Summary

Wilson Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of these programs, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the administrative operations of the department, including budgeting, equipment management, class scheduling, planning, and services.
  • Lead and develop a team of healthcare professionals, including interviewing, orienting, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans of care, making revisions as needed.
  • Oversee the coordination of rehabilitation plans to ensure timely and effective care.
  • Stay up-to-date with state program guidelines and regulations for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Design and implement health education classes on various cardiac and pulmonary topics.
  • Ensure patient safety through proper identification, fall prevention, and medication administration.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records, reports, and documentation.
  • Coordinate special projects and events for patients and the community.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a four-year degree in Nursing (with current NC or multistate RN licensure) or Exercise Physiology or another health profession.
  • At least two to three years of experience in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • BLS certification required, with ACLS certification to be obtained within 12 months.
  • Additional certifications as required by the department.
