About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs at Wilson Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of our rehabilitation programs, ensuring the highest level of care and service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the administrative operations of the department, including budgeting, equipment management, class scheduling, planning, and services.
  • Direct assigned personnel, including interviewing, orienting, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Assess patients' conditions, identifying goals, developing interventions, and evaluating outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Lead the team in developing and implementing individualized rehab plans of care, making revisions as needed.
  • Oversee and participate in the coordination of rehab plans of care to ensure care is in accordance with established time frames and goals.
  • Monitor and revise annually state program guidelines for the cardiac and pulmonary program.
  • Plan and implement individual and group health education classes on various cardiac and pulmonary topics.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of clinical and exercise equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to ensure patient safety through proper patient identification, fall prevention, medication administration, and other safety protocols.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, reports, forms, logs, and other necessary documents.
  • Coordinate special projects and events for customers and the community regarding our programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a four-year degree in Nursing (with current NC or multistate RN licensure) or Exercise Physiology or another health profession.
  • At least two to three years of cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation experience.
  • BLS certification (or obtain within the first week of hire).
  • ACLS certification (or obtain within 12 months from the date of hire).
