About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs at Wilson Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and directing the activities of our rehabilitation programs, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the administrative operations of the department, including budgeting, equipment management, class scheduling, planning, and services.
  • Lead and develop a team of healthcare professionals, including interviewing, orienting, training, and scheduling staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess patient conditions, identify goals, develop interventions, and evaluate outcomes, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans of care, making revisions as needed.
  • Oversee the coordination of rehabilitation plans, ensuring timely and effective care.
  • Stay up-to-date with state program guidelines for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, making revisions as necessary.
  • Plan and implement health education classes on various cardiac and pulmonary topics, demonstrating expertise in clinical and exercise equipment.
  • Ensure patient safety through proper identification, fall prevention, medication administration, and other safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate special projects and events for customers and the community, promoting our programs and services.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Exercise Physiology, or a related health profession.
  • At least two to three years of experience in cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation, with a strong background in nursing or a related field.
  • Current NC or multistate RN licensure, with BLS and ACLS certifications.
