Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Wight & Company. As a key member of our MEP Engineering department, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with clients regarding project progress and present project designs
  • Lead multiple MEP projects from schematic design to project completion
  • Mentor and train mechanical engineers and designers
  • Independently design projects and produce detailed design documents and specifications
Requirements:
  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required
  • 12+ years of HVAC engineering experience
  • Good working knowledge of IMC, IECC, and ability to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST, or other programs
  • Strong understanding of ASHRAE Standards, especially 55, 90.1, and 62.1
  • Experience in projects with sustainable solutions, including LEED certifications or net zero energy, is a plus
  • PE license preferred
  • Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of clients
