Job Description:
The Senior Medical Director will provide medical oversight of clinical trials to ensure compliance with company SOPs, client directives, good clinical practice, and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Attending and presenting at investigator and sponsor meetings
- Providing medical consultation to clients, investigators, and project team members
- Supporting business development activities
- Ensuring tasks delegated to pharmacovigilance are properly executed
- Adhering to applicable regulations and ICH guidelines regarding clinical trials, regulatory documents, and safety issues
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, clinical experience, and expertise in pharmacovigilance. You will work closely with the project team to deliver high-quality results and contribute to departmental process improvement initiatives.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position based on location is $201,000.00–$278,900.00 per year. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results. Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- MD or equivalent degree, active medical licensure preferred
- Clinical experience in treating patients in a relevant specialty or sub-specialty (comparable to 2 years)
- Suitable clinical trial experience in a Contract Research Organization, pharmaceutical company, or as a principal investigator (comparable to 1-2 years) in the industry
- Direct experience in safety/Pharmacovigilance (comparable to 2 years)
- Strong interpersonal skills, influencing and team building skills
- Understanding of guidelines (FDA, ICH, EMA, and GCP)
- Working knowledge of biostatistics, data management, and clinical operations procedures
