Service Porter Job Description

The Service Porter is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient traffic flow through the service facility, increasing customer convenience, and maintaining an orderly service parking area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers with a friendly and professional attitude, answer their questions, and direct them to the appropriate person or location.
  • Determine if customers have an appointment, record their information, and control service traffic flow.
  • Park vehicles after they have been written up, drive safely, and report any lot damage immediately.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles at the cashier, wait for the customer, and thank them for their business.
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
  • Deliver keys and repair order hard copies to the Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves, and dirt.
  • Drive vehicles to and from service lanes, service stalls, and parking lots as needed.
  • Makes key tags for vehicles and maintains a professional appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
