Job Summary:

The Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Solis Mammography operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. This role is critical to the organization's success, as the specialist impacts the profitability and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate x-ray equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Perform a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures, including ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.
  • Develop and maintain a patient-first focus, providing outstanding customer service skills and effective communication with patients, doctors, and other employees.
  • Stay up-to-date on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT.
  • Ensure non-restricted licensure in the state of work location.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
  • Current certification by ARRT in Radiography.
  • ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible.
  • Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred.
