Job Opportunity in Financial Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Specialist to support our budget and financial operations in Raleigh, NC. This full-time position is responsible for preparing accounting records, analyzing financial statements, and processing payment vouchers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develops and assists in budget estimates to fund court unit operating costs; reports to the Financial Administrator for review and approval.
  • Monitors and analyzes spending plans for budget allotments; executes approved budget plans and recommends programming actions to cover shortfalls.
  • Prepares recurring reports of obligations and expenditures for court executives and the Financial Administrator.
  • Reviews invoices, prepares payment vouchers for Pretrial Services and Probation vendors.
  • Receives, reviews, and processes travel vouchers and advance requests from court units.
  • Performs monthly posting and reconciliation of earned interest to commercial registry accounts.
  • Performs internal audit of cash receipts mail logs and reconciles Criminal Justice Act panel attorney payments.
Requirements:

A four-year college degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and at least one year of progressively responsible financial experience.
