Join a dedicated team at Piedmont Airlines, where we share our enthusiasm for aviation and prioritize the well-being of our employees. We are looking for a committed and dependable individual to fill the role of Customer Service Agent within our Ground Handling Department.

The main duties of this position involve assisting passengers during the boarding and disembarking processes, operating the Jetway, overseeing computerized passenger boarding systems, and guiding and parking aircraft. The ideal candidate will successfully complete the Customer Service Agent training program, be capable of lifting up to seventy (70) pounds, and be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. This role will report directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate passenger boarding and disembarking
  • Oversee computerized passenger boarding systems
  • Provide assistance to customers with special requirements, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors
  • Modify customer flight itineraries and seat assignments as necessary
  • Operate the Jetway
  • Handle baggage and cargo loading and unloading
  • Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment
  • Guide and park aircraft
  • Perform cabin maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate as a team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve corporate goals

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Successful completion of the training program
  • Ability to meet organizational objectives and customer expectations in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Capability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the airline industry
  • Previous roles in front-line customer service
  • Basic familiarity with computer applications and software

Work Environment:

  • Utilization of computers, telephones, and various office equipment
  • Exposure to an airport ramp environment, with varying weather conditions and elevated noise levels
  • Availability for all shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and irregular hours

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent activities including stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs
  • Regularly handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, including but not limited to pushing wheelchairs

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, along with a comprehensive background check and drug screening as required. Proof of high school diploma or GED completion is also necessary. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Our benefits package includes paid training, holiday pay, 401(k), vacation, and family travel on the American Airlines network. Medical and dental options are available.

Compensation:

$12.00/Hourly
