Key Responsibilities- Member Transactions: Process a wide range of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing.
- Account Verification: Verify cash and endorsements, issue receipts, and prepare stop payments on checks for members.
- Product and Service Promotion: Provide members with information on credit union services and make referrals for new products and services to meet their financial needs.
- Customer Service: Answer phone calls and respond to member inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services to members.
- Security and Surveillance: Maintain proper security and surveillance over the workstation and cash drawer assigned.
- Robbery and Forgery Procedures: Execute proper security procedures during robberies, forgeries, and other suspicious or dangerous situations.
- Team Support: Assist other Member Service Representatives with related duties as assigned.
- Transaction Processing: Log and process night deposits and mail transactions, and maintain accurate accounting of all transactions completed at the Member Service Representative station.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience in cash handling or customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
