Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall health and safety of the children in our care. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the classroom team to build trusting relationships with children.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • A minimum of 9 credit hours in early childhood education coursework, including 3 hours focused on child growth and development.
  • A willingness to pursue a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:

  • Engage with children at their eye level.
  • Demonstrate physical activities such as running, hopping, and dancing.
  • Respond swiftly in emergencies, including lifting children when necessary.
  • Provide comfort to children experiencing challenging behaviors.
  • Assist children in safety drills, including crawling to safety in case of emergencies.
