About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Firefighter/Paramedic at the City of Pilot Point, TX. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical services to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide advanced life support services, including invasive and non-invasive medical procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain fire department facilities, equipment, and apparatus to ensure operational readiness.
  • Operate fire, rescue, medical, and life-saving tools and equipment, and perform firefighting tasks, rescue operations, and other emergency response actions under stressful conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other emergency services agencies to ensure seamless response and coordination.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A valid Class "B" exempt Texas Driver's License within 12 months of employment.
  • TCFP Basic Fire Certification and DSHS Licensed or Certified Paramedic required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
