Brasada Ranch is seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Expert to join our team as Assistant Director of Finance. This role will oversee the Resort's accounting and finance team, including hiring, training, and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing financial systems, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the Resort's accounting and finance team, including hiring, training, and mentoring.
- Manage financial systems, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, labor management, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Ensure successful daily and monthly cash management, in compliance with company policy.
- Prepare tax reporting and ensure accurate sales, use, and occupancy tax returns and all other local and state tax filings as required.
- Assist with outside auditors and provide needed information for periodic internal and external audits.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as requested.
- Continually look for opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and hotel through the leveraging of technology and processes.
- Uphold internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in accounting software.
- Five years or more of related experience required.
- Experience with Homeowner Associations (HOA) and real estate development is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
