Hotel Breakfast Supervisor Job Summary

The Embassy Suites by Hilton, located near the Charlotte Airport, is seeking a skilled Hotel Breakfast Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our breakfast operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of our daily breakfast service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation of food during the breakfast shift
  • Assist and support breakfast team members in setting up before service, taking care of guests during service, and cleaning up after service
  • Visually inspect food quality and presentation to ensure high standards are met
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards
  • Supervise, support, schedule, train, assign daily work, and inform team members in all breakfast activities and operations
  • Monitor, observe, and assist in evaluating team member performance
  • Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints
  • Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a customer-facing food service position is required
  • Previous food service experience at a hotel is preferred
  • Ability to get to work on time as scheduled and work the early morning shift (breakfast area must be set up by 6 AM daily)
  • Ability to present a professional demeanor, both in appearance and communication skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests
  • ServSafe Certification preferred
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when needed
  • Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must have basic knowledge of the proper use, maintenance, and cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment, and basic knowledge of food preparation
Job Setting and Physical Demands:

Employees in this position work primarily indoors and must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read, and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements. Employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
