Embassy Suites Charlotte is seeking a skilled Breakfast Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless breakfast experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities: * Provide personalized service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded * Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet in an attractive, abundant-looking, organized, clean, and standardized presentation * Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day * Team up with management on purchasing needs * Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates * Use industrial kitchen equipment to heat and cook hot breakfast items * Stock coffee, juice, and milk in machines or dispensers * Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products * Set out/arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal for self-service * Clear and clean tables as they are vacated * Wipe up spills * Remove trash * Restock self-service food and supplies as needed * Wash serving equipment and return to proper storage area Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred * A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a customer-facing position is required * Ability to get to work on time as scheduled and work the early morning shift * Ability to present a professional demeanor, both in appearance and communication skills * Must have strong interpersonal skills to engage and interact with associates and guests * ServSafe Certification preferred * Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when needed * Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills * Must have strong written and oral communication skills * Must have basic knowledge of the proper use, maintenance, cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment, and food preparation Job Setting and Physical Demands: Employees in this position work primarily indoors. Employees work in a customer-facing environment and must be able to provide excellent customer service at all times. Fluency in the English language and the ability to speak, hear, read, and write are required as is the ability to work any hours/days of the week necessary to meet business requirements. Employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
