The Role

Your Responsibilities:


As a skilled Maintenance Technician, you will have the chance to elevate apartment living by addressing complex maintenance challenges. We seek a proactive Lead Maintenance Technician who is innovative, excels in troubleshooting, and is dedicated to enhancing the living experience for our residents.


In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the safety, comfort, and functionality of our properties. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining and improving the quality of life for our residents.

The Lead Maintenance Technician is tasked with diagnosing issues and executing repairs to uphold the community's physical standards and ensure timely service requests.


Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing issues in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, and waste management systems.
  • Assisting in the organization and management of work orders and general maintenance tasks, ensuring timely completion in line with company standards.
  • Preparing vacant apartments and garages for new residents, including cleaning, repairs, and ensuring readiness for occupancy.
  • Training and supervising Maintenance Technicians I and II.
  • Conducting regular preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Monitoring the community's grounds and buildings to identify maintenance needs.
  • Promoting a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performing Hot Works, when applicable, in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, with knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • HVAC certifications (CFC required or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Strong communication skills to provide excellent customer service.
  • Understanding of policies and procedures related to maintenance operations.
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and safety data sheets.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment and its proper use.
  • Basic understanding of emergency systems and their operations.
  • Familiarity with various paint types and application tools.
