The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service and Warehouse Specialist to join our Parts department at our Wixom, MI branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting branch operations through the fulfillment of parts orders, preparation of quotes, and coordination of shipping and receiving activities.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to resolve customer inquiries and issues related to parts specifications, sales orders, inventory availability, and pricing.
- Parts Research: Research part numbers and adjust coding and cost/pricing as needed in our system.
- Order Processing: Understand ordering trends and process customer purchase orders with a high sense of urgency.
- Quoting and Communication: Gather critical information and enter quoting for customer review, and maintain clear communication with customers throughout the life of an order.
- Warehouse Operations: Perform standard warehousing duties, including receiving inventory, processing picking lists, and staging material for service technicians.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory cycle counts and overall warehouse organization.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years' experience in material handling or a similar position, preferably in an industrial, distribution, or warehouse setting.
- Background: Background in manufacturing or industrial supply chain.
- Skills: Strong experience in a customer-facing role, advanced Microsoft Excel ability, and proficiency in Infor ERP LN or equivalent SAP ERP/inventory management system.
- Desirable Qualifications: Specific product knowledge with air compressors or HVAC components or controls, familiarity with the air compressor industry, strong interpersonal skills, and forklift certification.
