Nursing Leadership Opportunity in Telemetry

We are seeking a seasoned Registered Nurse Director to lead our Telemetry department at Baptist Health System - San Antonio TX.

About the Role

As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing resources on a 24-hour basis. This includes budget management, efficient utilization of staff and resources, recruitment and management of assigned staff, achieving quality outcomes, performance improvement, monitoring of quality and quantity of services, maintaining positive working relationships with staff and system departments, and purchasing equipment.

You will be expected to complete established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period. Additionally, you will be responsible for other related duties as assigned by senior management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing professionals in the Telemetry department
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of staff and equipment
  • Foster positive working relationships with staff, patients, and system departments
  • Maintain high-quality patient care standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in nursing leadership, preferably in Telemetry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make decisions independently and as part of a team
