We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to serve as the Deputy Chief CRNA who will assist the Chief CRNA in all duties and responsibilities.

About the Position

This position reports to the Chief CRNA and requires a motivated and compassionate individual committed to patient care for the UT Health Multispecialty and Research Hospital (MSRH), UT ambulatory sites, and other clinical venues as developed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the management of the daily CRNA staffing operations for the department of anesthesiology at the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital (MSRH) in close coordination with the Clinical Chief of MSRH, Medical Director of Ambulatory Anesthesia, service line directors and Chief Residents.
  2. Provide clinical and administrative leadership that supports and aligns with the strategic vision of the Chief CRNA and Department Administrator.
  3. Support the growth and development of student CRNAs in our department as part of our educational mission.
  4. Align with the Vice Chair of Quality and Patient Safety on departmental quality improvement and patient safety programs in collaboration with hospital programs.
