Radio Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled RF Technician to support emergency responders by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting RF communication systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RF theory and principles, as well as experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, and multi-meters.
Key Responsibilities- Install and maintain RF communication systems for emergency responders.
- Troubleshoot and repair RF issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Design and implement upgrades to enhance communication systems.
- Provide on-site support to emergency responders, ensuring their communication systems are fully operational.
- Collaborate with the team, service managers, and emergency response units to address communication needs.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 technical support.
- Minimum of two years' experience in diagnosing, repairing, and installing RF communication systems.
- Strong understanding of RF theory and principles.
- Experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, and multi-meters.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Preferred: Two-year degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field; experience with public safety communication systems; CET certification.
- Experience with DAS systems, LMR systems, and two-way radios.
- Military or public service experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
